Today marks the end of February thus ushering in the beginning of the busy month of March here at Park Avenue. Please note these important events coming up :
Authentic Purity Weekend
With Steve Holladay
March 5-7
Steve is a gifted, challenging, qualified speaker addressing an important, life-changing topic. Your kids are going to hear about this stuff somewhere — best to be heard from a Christian, healthy perspective.
Ladies Retreat
Pine Grove Christian Camp
March 26-28
A great opportunity to get away from it all and spend time in deeper fellowship and communion with sisters in Christ and the God we all love.
Missions Sunday
March 28
A time to focus on our work around the world and an opportunity to give to the financial needs of our missions ministry. Samuel and Elania Solis Reyna from our Monterrey mission point will be here.
Thought for the Day
Week in and week out we are all blessed by our Thought for the Day on page two of The Messenger. The thought is compliments of Wanda Elmore who each week delivers that saying to the church office. Thanks so much Wanda for your faithfulness.
Small Groups
Small groups are off and running as we had 215 this past Sunday evening. Small groups are always open, so feel free to jump in anytime. Tonight the church small group offers a special invitation as they will have their 5:00 pm meeting and finger food and conversation at 6:00 pm. If any one is looking for a group to join this would be a excellent time to come and see what we are all about. Jim Scroggins is leading this small group. Contact Todd, Basil, Greg Clay, or Kevin Dale if you need more information about small groups.
Two Services Planned for Easter Sunday
To accommodate our typically larger crowd on Easter Sunday we are planning on having two services that Sunday, April 4. Parking is the primary issue until our new building is completed. We will have one service at 8:00 am and another at 10:00 am. Bible classes will be suspended that Sunday to allow a manageable flow of traffic between services.
